The Verde Villages are a "bedroom community" to Cottonwood.  Consisting of Verde Village Units 1 through 8, the Villages, combined,  are the largest subdivision in the Verde Valley. 
Originally subdivided in the 70's, the lots are consistently 1/4 acre view sites.  Homes in The Villages run the gamut from higher-end (in the $500,000 range) to lot value minus demolition costs. 
Units 1 and 3 contain mostly manufactured homes, and the other Units allow homes only.  Except for 2 or 3 lots that got forgotten, every lot in The Villages boasts an incredible view. 
Verde Village Community Association provides a wonderful pond (No swimming, please - the ducks will sqwack at you.) a clubhouse for functions, spaghetti dinner every 3rd Wednesday, plus the community pool.  Association fees are a whopping $25 per year.  Don't panic - dues are entirely voluntary.
