Lake Montezuma, Rimrock, and McGuireville (The Three Little Sisters) are all good places to live.  Lake Montezuma is structured around one of the most beautiful golf courses you´ve ever seen, plus the Ranch House Restaurant / pro shop / bar.  Even if you don´t golf, you´ll love the greens, the lake, the birds, and the wildlife that all congregate near abundant water.  Beaver Creek runs through all three of these little sister towns.  There is a fire station, a hairdresser´s, a library, a mini-mart, and the best pastry shop in Yavapai County.
Major shopping is done either in Camp Verde or Cottonwood or Sedona, all equidistant, all about 15 minutes away.  Life in The Little Sisters is easy and comfortable and relaxed - people don´t get in much of a hurry here.  Home prices run the gamut, depending on how close you want to be to the golf course or the creek.  You can start at around $80,000 for a decent house, and go up to millions.  Little kids go to school at Beaver Creek Elementary, and will get some of the highest SAT scores in the State.  Teens have their choice of High School in Camp Verde, Cottonwood, or Sedona, all of them excellent
high schools.
